Michael Hooks is the Founder and Managing Partner of Westhook Capital. Prior to founding Westhook, Mr. Hooks was the Co-Founder and Co-Managing Partner at Black Canyon Capital, which was a private capital affiliate of Canyon Capital Advisors. Prior to founding Black Canyon, Mr. Hooks was the Co-Head of the Los Angeles Investment Banking Department of Credit Suisse, leading a group of approximately 100 professionals. Prior to Credit Suisse, Mr. Hooks was a Managing Director of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Mr. Hooks began his career in the Beverly Hills office of Drexel Burnham Lambert. Mr. Hooks is currently Chairman of the Board of Malibu Boats, Inc (NASDAQ:MBUU), and previously served on the boards of JDC Healthcare Management, TASI Holdings, Virgin America, Logan’s Roadhouse, Saunders & Associates and Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology (NYSE:PV). Mr. Hooks received a degree in Economics from Princeton University and a M.B.A. with distinction from The Wharton School of Business.

Prior to joining Westhook, Mr. Knuth was a senior investment professional at Silver Rock Financial, the family office for Michael Milken. At Silver Rock, Mr. Knuth focused on equity investing across various industries and geographies. Prior to joining Silver Rock, Mr. Knuth worked at Black Canyon. Prior to Black Canyon, Mr. Knuth was a senior associate at TCW / Crescent Capital focusing on distressed for control investing. Mr. Knuth began his career in the Los Angeles office of CIBC Investment Bank focusing on leveraged finance. Mr. Knuth received a degree in Economics from UCLA.

Prior to joining Westhook, Mr. Chandra was a Principal at Tau Capital Group and led the firm’s business development and deal origination effort across various industries and geographies. Prior to Tau, Mr. Chandra was a Vice President at Platinum Equity, a global private equity firm that has raised over $13 billion across four funds. At Platinum Equity, Mr. Chandra focused on originating middle market, lower middle market and special situation investment opportunities in North America and Australia. Mr. Chandra began his career at Morgan Stanley. Mr. Chandra received a degree in Economics from the University of California, San Diego.

Prior to joining Westhook, Mr. Medina was a Vice President at aPriori Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on leveraged buyouts across various industries in the US and Europe. Prior to the formation of aPriori Capital Partners, Mr. Medina worked at DLJ Merchant Banking Partners. Prior to DLJ Merchant Banking Partners, Mr. Medina worked in the Investment Banking Department of Credit Suisse in New York. Mr. Medina began his career as an energy trader with Barclays Capital. Mr. Medina received a B.B.A. from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.

Prior to joining Westhook, Mr. O’Neal was a Senior Associate at AUA Private Equity Partners, a private equity firm focused on lower middle-market opportunities in various consumer-facing industries. Mr. O’Neal began his career as an investment banking analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York. While at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Mr. O’Neal executed a variety of M&A and financing transactions within the food and beverage, consumer products, restaurant and retail sectors. Mr. O’Neal received his B.A. in Economics from Wesleyan University.
